BACKGROUND
Enterprise Development Unit (EDU) is a main business outreach wing of Coastal KZN TVET College, it came to existence in 1997 after looking at the need and demand that existed in surrounding community to provide an intervention aimed at ensuring economic sustainability for community.

The unit is based at Swinton Campus, 20 Swinton Road in Mobeni. It specialises in Training and Mentorship of SMMEs and Co-operatives, it is also involved in community and youth development, we offer a range of training programmes like: Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Co-operative Governance, Mentorship, Basic Project Management, Work Readiness Skills Programme, Financial Guide to Pre-retirement, Production Management, Conflict Management, Tendering.

Our strength is the readily available infrastructure for training, that is classrooms, fully equipped computer labs, and human resource (facilitators and mentors).
