Let Coastal KZN TVET College Always Be The Winner! Welcome To a New Year

The Principal of Coastal KZN TVET College Mr Sibhanana Ndlovu delivered his welcoming address to the staff at Central Administration Office on Friday, January 26, 2018.

“Welcome back! I hope that each of you had a wonderful break and enjoyed special time with friends and family. Time away from our everyday tasks can be remarkably restorative. I am confident that, as always, you return to your work and study community with renewed enthusiasm and vigour”, said Mr Ndlovu.

In his opening speech, the principal was quick to cite the importance of teamwork, moral values, trustworthiness, reliability, respect, and positive thinking.  He said that we must strive for continuous quality improvement in all that we do, so that we will rank among the country’s premier TVET College in customer, employee and community satisfaction.

In his address he urged the staff to be vigilant in all our activities, seek to display some unchanging, fundamental qualities, integrity, honest dealing, treating everyone with respect and dignity, striving for mutual advantage and contributing to human progress.

He said that as we commence our academic year, it is worth reflecting on who we are as employees of the college. He urged the staff to uphold uncompromising integrity, demonstrate honesty, and ethical behaviour in all we do, placing the success of Coastal KZN TVET College ahead of any personal gain. “We must give and receive unquestionable trust, and we must work in an environment in which we can trust one another and share information freely, thereby doing our jobs to the very best of our abilities”.

Mr Ndlovu said that in his mind a good college can be measured by three indicators: the extent to which the talents and potential of its students are nurtured and developed, the happiness of its students, and the character of its graduates, along with their ability to make their way in the world.

Valuing academic excellence and encouraging our students to give their best to their studies are also aspects of the environment we seek to build in the college. The best academic measure of a college is its ability to assist every student to reach their potential in their studies. The dedication and commitment of our staff, their professionalism and talents, are the central resource of the college.

The principal told the staff that as we propel forward in the New Year, we must all be aware that there are always new challenges that lie ahead of us, we remain confident in the knowledge that our employees are willing to meet these challenges head on.

“I want to take this opportunity to welcome you all back to work, wishing everyone a Happy New Year. We have an exciting year ahead of us and we’re pleased to have each one of you participating in it, said Mr Ndlovu”

Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and positive work efforts as we look forward to another successful year!!!
