Coastal KZN TVET College Signs The MOU With Ithala Bank

Through the hard work of the Placement Unit, iThala Bank has agreed to host Coastal KZN TVET College Students for experiential learning (in-service training). A memorandum of Understanding in this regard was signed on 3rd of December 2014.

IThala has already placed 35 students at different branches across KZN. More students will be placed in May 2015 and thereafter.

Our HRD Unit in partnership with ETDPSETA embarked on a Capacity Building Programme for TVET Colleges Mathematics Lecturers. Mathematics was chosen as an area of interest and focus for improvement. Youth Empowerment Initiative Through Drivers Licence Classes

It is the culture of our college to annually award students who have excelled in their studies. Normally these students get different gifts ranging from cellphones, books, trophies, etc. At Umlazi-BB campus we decided to have a different approach to this. After realising that most of our students lose job opportunities for not having drivers’ licences we felt that something needs to be done to motivate and sensitise our students about the importance of taking driving lessons as early as possible. We also reached the consensus to award our high achievers with driving licence lessons.
